16 and pregnant

Is anyone watching that show ?
I just cried after the season finale. Giving their kid up for adoption- so sad
And then I wondered whether the show discourages teenage pregnancy through showing how hard it is to manage and the sacrifices that must be made or encourages early pregnancy b/c it portrays young pregancy as a social norm ? Like, being pregnant is something 16 year olds do.
What do you think?

I don’t watch those kinda shows. I’m more of a family guy, CSI girl.

I watched the first two or three episodes and then stopped.

I noticed all of the teen parents seemed a little backwoods.

Sorry, I don’t watch crappy TV shows.

lol i watched it for the first time last night. i thought it was ridiculous. the teen parents seemed awfully weird to me.

I like the Maci episode. Those East Tennessee accents are so sweet and endearing :]

I thought this thread would be interesting.

Sadly it was about a tv show.

What is wrong with America. ><

I don’t know why on earth they would have a show like that. Yes, it shows that being pregnant is a pain, but I’d say it glorifies it a little.

I watched like one episode. I was disgusted. At least in the episode I watched it wasn’t smart people making dumb decisions, it was stupid people making stupider decisions. Like someone of them just looked so stupid it was like when they stopped walking no more thought was going on in their brains.

Oh man, I saw the adoption episode and I must say I’m just disgusted that those two had a kid and their parents married each other so they’re step-siblings! Even if they were dating before their parents, gross. She would get pregnant…

^ That immediately made me think of Serena and Dan and the creepiness of their relationship. I watch far too much television. ■■■

The last episode was sad, I have to admit.

But it’s even sadder that a show like this exists.

“I am sick of you belligerent, anti-christ attitude!”

I dont know put teen parents look weird. I dont like to talk/interact with them.

Seriously, theyve been easily duped by some other @$$hat that they love them, would do everything, blablabla just to lose the condom, and then they arent even there to see their seed when they do ultrasound. ridiculous.

exactly why im happy right here.

Weren’t most of the teens from the south?

^ yup. speaking of pregnant teens, i was watching Juno last night ;]

Slightly OT: I can’t stand the word “preggers.” It should banned from the English language.

Nothing sounds more ridiculous than listening to a thirty-five year old woman use some little cutesy term, that sounds like it came from Playhouse Disney, to refer to being pregnant.
“I’m preggers by my hubby! At least I think it was my hubby, maybe it was by my bestie, she’s actually a tranny!”
They sound like they’re three.

My rant for the day.
