1650 to 2000+!

No prep at all, I got a 1650 on a practice SAT. I'm going to be a junior next year. I ran out of space on the essay and didn't even finish because I wrote so big. I think I bombed it. I'm not sure because I didn't ask for the breakdown. I really want a 2000+, I bought the Blue Book, a scientific calculator (can't afford a graphing calculator O_O), PWN the Sat: Math, and The Insider's Complete Guide to SAT Vocabulary: The Essential 500 Words.

If I try really hard, do you think I can get my score up to 2000+? I didn't take Algebra 2 yet.

Wow we’re in a similar situation. I am also trying to get a 2000+ score in the SAT with the same exact books at you, except my current score is an 1880. Algebra 2 will help you hone your math skills a bit but the SAT is more general geometry and algebra so you should practice the basics till you have them right before you proceed to the complicated stuff. I think if you work on like a couple sections a day of math and writing you can get those up a lot because they just require practice. For Critical reading I think the best you can do is read. Practice and memorizing vocab is great and all but those guys that get like 750+ on Critical reading are just damn good readers.
