U Mich (If i really wanted to go there, my guidance counselor is really good friends with the Dean of Admissions there)

*** IS WRONG WITH YOU!!!!?!?!?!

I say pick 5 schools you actually want to attend and apply to those. It will almost surely look bad that you apply to soo many. Btw, how do you find the time to do all those applications? I struggle with just 3 or 4.

Don't mean to sound harsh, just that I thought 8 was absurd....

Ok, assuming that average acceptance rate for each school is 20% total.

.8 ^ 17 = .022518

You have a 97% chance........ according to math.

IN at unc-ch

and dont worry, at least you're not applying to 23 schools like someone i know.

wow that must drain up a lot of $$$ applying to all those schools

yea it is kind of absurd...but that is why my parents pay for everything :) And I have already applied to a few of those schools...

yay i have a 97% of getting in!!!

i reckon you should apply to higher up schools too.. like HYPS.

you have a chance, but i would strengthen your ECs a bit.. maybe send in a resume with details about each activity?? show them you have commitment other than academics

17 schools????

wow... good luck w/ those apps..

i have 5 more to go and i'm stressed as hell

I already applied for 6 schools, but that's trough UCAS System:P:P

I really have to finish my rd apps these days

yea im going to be stressed all over christmas break in order to finsih everything on time...

well, my initial list was 30 schools.. now its only 13

in any case, i bet many of your friends commented on how much money youre gonna spend on apps...

I ABSOLUTELY ABHOR the people who say that... as if i didnt know the total cost before them...

ps, arent you kinda young to be applying? are you a junior?
pps, well, youll get into at least 3 in any case, so if youre satisfied with anything, then youre in good shape

i havent really talked to alot of people about my 17 schools. I just tell them Im applying to alot, but everyone always say that about the money. It is kind of annoying. But im actually a senior this year. I just started kindergarten a year early but Ill be 17 soon... But yea im hoping to get into some of my "match" and reach schools.

Here they say I am crazy... because we don't have a selection system...
and so you can apply 1 and youre definately in....

lol im not too horrible...jk 17 schools is alot, but im hoping for some scholarships

ps, you DO realize that "alot" is actually two words right? (a lot)

you definately should know that if youre planning on attending cornell or something

haha true that. But u know when u type on the comp. u like to shorten things.
