Hey everyone,
My orientation is Sunday and I was hoping for some input so I can go into advising with a better idea of what I want. As of now, I worked out a nice 18 credit schedule, but I think it might be too much. If I drop one class, which one should it be?

Currently I have:
Chem 130
Calc 185 (Honors Calc 1)
Honors CL CIV 101
Soc-105(First Year Seminar-sounds really interesting and covers Race and Ethnicity requirement, I want to keep it)
POL SCI 140 (Honors)

A couple notes:
I've already taken AP Calc AB, received an A all year and think I got a 5 on the exam. I talked to a student from my high school who took Honors Calc 1 at Michigan (after taking the same AP class I did), and she said it was really easy/mostly review.

I have to take Honors Classic Civ (or great books), because I'm in Honors.

So basically I'd either drop Pol Sci 140 or Chem 130 if I want to only take 14/15 credits. The reason this bugs me is that I'm pursuing a pre-med path with a BIO major but I also would like either a minor or double major with political science and possibly keep a pre-law track open. I already am out of intro bio because I got a 5 on the AP bio exam. And I should test out of Intro to American Politics (I think polsci 111) because of my ap gov score. Therefore, by the end of freshman year I have to take at least one semester of political science to be done with the prereqs and I also have to finish either the intro chem or intro physics. By the end of freshman year I'll be done with Calc (I want to take Math 156 second semester) and humanities (Cl Civ 102), so I'll have much more room but I would like to be taking 200 level poly sci courses sophomore year. Also, if I drop chem, then I could take CHEM 125/126 concurrently with 130, but I would like to take a 200 level bio course by second semester because I don't want to be a bio major who didn't take a single bio course all of freshman year.

Do you think I could manage that schedule or should I cut out a class? And which class would be better to cut out, Chem 130 or Pol Sci 140?
