18 yr Old Polish Girl BEATS Sharapova!

TOTALLY UNEXEPTED!!!!!!!

i'm watching the US open if you haven't figured that out yet.

ha yeah that was pretty unexpected. oh well as long as rafa and federer are still in there its all good.

XD whenever I see Sharapova's name anymore I always think of those commercials for the camera.

I watched the match. Definitely the upset of the tournament so far.

Who watches tennis?

I watched it. Man, that was weird. Did it seem like Sharapova just sort of gave up towards the end or was that just me?

I was pulling for her, but I guess it wasn't enough. Did you see her dad leave before she even lost? What a loser.

As long as Henin is still in the tournament, I'm happy.

Allez Justine!

HisGraceFillsMe, the one with the dog is my favorite. The accent is just awesome.

i think sharapova lost, because she wasn't able (or willing) to adapt to the other girls style of hitting. sharapova is use to hitting against people like Venus and Henin, players with powerful shots.

and add the wind to her already miserable serve. I feel sorry for her. She's so one-dimensional and can't/won't do anything about it.

^ yeah, she really needs to work on her serve. Part of the problem is that, once she gets her first fault, she looses concentration, and then gets a double fault ( 12 in her last match!!!).

Haha ya, and that girl was pretty cheap, sneaking up on the 2nd serve like that. That's just classless. She's not even hitting the ball up there. It serves no purpose other than to annoy Sharapova.

That was a great upset. Yes, I enjoyed watching the match, and Sharapova seriously needs to figure out a way to get herself out of a group ruled by Dementieva. And to add to that, Hewitt, Petrova, Vaidisova and Hingis lost as well. Oh well, at least Rafa, Blake, Roddick and Novak are still there (my faves lol).

William Sisters Dominated Today!!!

I was so shocked that Sharapova lost. I was really pulling for her! :(

Am I the only one who DOESN'T like Sharapova? I really can't stand her and am very glad she lost. Hingis isn't a fave, either. I'm pulling for Justine (Henin). Allez Justine!

I can't stand her shrieking personally. Hopefully with her gone, there will be more focus on men's tennis, the real show.

"Am I the only one who DOESN'T like Sharapova? I really can't stand her and am very glad she lost. Hingis isn't a fave, either. I'm pulling for Justine (Henin). Allez Justine!"

I don't like either. I go for the Americans

Actually, Gnrfan, I'm a fan of both Men's Tennis and Women's Tennis. I just think that prancing around in a little black dress disgraces women's tennis and all the pioneers like Billie Jean King, Martina Navratilova, and Chris Evert. Prancing around in a little black dress does not give women's tennis the positive attention it deserves.

And seriously. Sharapova has been living in the US for like... her whole life? Why can't she play for the US?

sharapova's on a decline!!!
