I took the SAT for the first time back in January and I got 1850 (W 670, M 610, Cr 570). This was only after I got the Barron's SAT book in late December and the exam was on the 22 of Jan. I studied hard but the prob was that i had school exams at te same time so it was conflicting.

Now I've graduated High school and currently am on a gap year. I'd like to raise my score to in the 2000s in 2 months. any suggestions???

ps. i'm an international student, well technically was cuz i'm moving to US.

Buy Kaplan or College Board books, and buy some practice books with practice tests. best way to improve is to take practice tests, and go over everything you did wrong and make sure you learn it, and keep taking practice tests. If you need help on specific sections, just focus practicing on that.

Make sure you are timing yourself as if you are taking the real test, it will help a lot for when you take it for real. Good luck.

ok thanks I’m definitely getting the blue book now!

Quick question though, in practice tests in the Barron’s my Cr score is 620-660, do you think i should solely focus on my Cr to get it in to the 700 or should i try and work on both math and Cr?

I’m comfortable with my Writing score so I’m not gonna trouble that, its just my Cr thats bothering me and it would hurt to see my math at 650 or more.
