1960 to 2200 by June?

Well I got a 1960 in the January SAT and I was really disappointed. So, I've started studying and I'm going to Testmasters and I was wondering if these two activities would increase my chances to get a 2200 by June. If you have other tips or suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.

I used Testmasters, and it definitely helped. They have something called exam club, which I would recommend you do each weekend.

Getting a 2200 means that you have to be naturally gifted already because your intellect won’t change significantly between March and June. A 2100 sounds a lot more plausible.

Easy. Just study and know your 5h!t… if you received 1960 from minimal studying, going to Testmasters and doing some more on your own should set you right.

Yes. It is definitely doable. Just do lots of practice tests and go over the problems you get wrong. If you work at it, you will improve considerably. You might want to take both the May and June SAT’s which would increase your chances of a 2200 superscore.

Thing is that Im only taking one of them because I have an SAT voucher for a free test(Texas), and so I just want the extra time. May is AP testing and I just need the first 2 weeks of may for APs.

But Ive gone through the Blue book, and Barrons. Any other good books to go over? Many of my friends say Testmasters testing club is all I need, but my parents don’t want me to be enrolled in that.

The most valuable practice you can do are the tests from the blue book, especially the first four (which were previously administered), and especially under regular time conditions. I’m not familiar with Testmasters, but if the “test club” is a program that offers practice tests (preferably from the blue book) under test conditions + time constraints, that’s your best bet at increasing your score. You don’t really need to pay for a program to do this, you could just do it at your house and have a family member time you, but it’s definitely better to do it somewhere that you’re not familiar with, and at a place where you can’t take breaks whenever you want to. Also, many test prep companies offer specific breakdowns that describe the types of questions you got wrong, which can be helpful for identifying patterns in your wrong answers (e.g. if you get a lot of geometry problems wrong in the math section).
