1970 or 2230. What did i actually get

Hey guys

I have a sat book called ' official SAT guide' by college board. and all the conversion charts are ranges. I calculated with the lowest possible score for one of my tests and it was 1970 and the highest was like 2230. Now that is a huge range. So i was wondering why they give such a huge range. And could anyone help me in finding a chart that is specific. any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks!

Range=pick the lowest
If you go by the highest or by the middle, you’d be devastated when you get your actual score like I did. When I did my practice tests, I picked the middle and got 2200 or 2300, but when I took the real thing, I barely made a 2000.

I’d say 2100. i actually did better on the actual exam than on any practice from the blue book

liebenuka .. i just cheked the conversion chart for a SAT Kaplan book and i put my scores in and it came out as 2120.. and if you average my two scores it comes to about 2115 so i would think i should take the middle. any other thoughs?

why don’t u stick with 2100 and do more practice tests? it doesnt matter if ur 2400 in practice, it’s not what ur practice scores that count -.-

I dunno, just take the lowest, dude. you don’t want to surprise yourself in the bad way when you get the score

Look at the curve for some other test like January 2008.

They can’t give you a concrete score because they have no basis of comparison to create a curve. I agree with just taking the lowest so you don’t get any surprises, but after taking a few practice tests you will more or less know what you are capable of.
