My school goes on the block system, and my 1st quarter senior grades would be available by the time the deadline comes. Right now, I'm borderline 3.8 and want to break through the border. If I was to do well 1st quarter, that would happen. So, could I put 1st quarter of my senior grades on my transcript? Sorry if this question doesn't make sense.

The question doesn’t make sense because you don’t put anything on your own transcript. A transcript is an official document that’s created by your school.

Do you mean, can you put them on your application? I guess so. But I don’t see the point, unless you’re applying ED/EA. If you’re applying regular decision, colleges and universities will get your first semester grades from your school when they get your Mid-Year Report, before they make admissions decisions. And if you’re hoping that strong senior grades will improve your chances for admission, applying regular decision probably makes sense.

yah, i meant application, sorry.

the application only asks for grades and gpa from 9-11 grade.

your grades from senior year won’t matter; it only does if you were waitlisted/rejected and you appealed. btw, a 3.8 is a solid gpa, in the unfortunate case you were rejected, i doubt it would have been because of the gpa.

thanks guys for your responses. my gpa is really 3.793, but they forgot to add a class on to my transcript that is an A for both of the two credits it was worth, which pushes me to a 3.8. So, any predictions on the average GPA and SAT for the fall 2012 freshman class?

Average GPA/SAT/ACT will probably stay about the same or only marginally higher.

Remember that admissions looks at your personal statements and the extra curricular activities as well! Even with a 4.0UW/2400 (or close), someone still CAN be rejected or waitlisted based on their personal statements.
