So I've always been an A/A+ math & science student taking the hardest classes. This year I just finished a semester of AP Physics C and earned an A-.

Considering my SATs, GPA, rank, etc, I'm about 35th percentile for accepted MIT students in terms of those objective factors.

Although its not like I received a "B" in AP Physics C, do you believe admissions will look negatively on this grade - since it is the lowest math/science grade I've received, or will it not help/hurt me?

Just a question pertaining to the same topic, what about 2 B+'s in the same class (AP Lit)? Would that change their minds if everything else I got was an A?

There are a few threads on this throughout the forum. Common opinion seems to be by "drop in grades" they mean falling from mostly As and a few Bs for grades 9-11 to Bs and Cs in 12th.

Ya sorry, I'm not trying to be a d-bag whoose like "Help I got a 2400" if thats how I came across. I just wanted to know if a slip from A/A+ to an A- was a "drop" in the eyes of admissions: )

Wow, I am back in CC after 1 month: looks like an exile to me.

Heck no, A- is NOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT bad. I was always a A+/B+ student. This semester I got 2 A-s, 3 As, one B+ (AP Stats is sooooo boring). I am not worried about it, I had a 4.33 weighted and 4.0 UW so I am happy because the highest GPA in our class is 4.33 and I am among those people having it.

Do not worry dude, everything will be fine. "Everything happens for our own good", now don't find contradictions to it please.
