We are visiting early June, can you all please give us some hotel and restaurant recommendations? Thanks!

We always stay at the Clemson Courtyard. On off weekends you can usually get in there for around $100 a night. There is also a Holiday Inn Express that looks relatively new but we have no experience with it. Everything else is in Anderson which is a 15 minute ride back out towards Rt 85. For food, you have lots of options. If you are there Thurs through Saturday, you should make the trip to the Smoking Pig. Just be prepared to wait. Around the school there are all kinds of pub style restaurants. Some fast food as well. You won’t find any upper end restaurants that I am aware of. Others may have some ideas.

Hotels: Courtyard Marriott or Holiday Inn Express

Restaurants: Definitely Smokin Pig in Pendleton (Barbecue)
Others: Blue Heron, Brioso’s, Mellow Mushroom, Pot Belly Deli, Todaro’s Pizza

If you are looking for a high end restaurant, Pixie & Bill’s would be your place

You didn’t ask for on campus dining, but I just wanted to recommend that you eat one meal in a regular campus dining hall while you are there.
We just visited for the first time during Spring Blitz & they included a meal card for our DD in the welcome package. We decided to use that meal card and have our whole family eat at Harcombe. We were there during peak lunch time and while it was busy, we didn’t have to wait in long lines, there was plenty of seating (despite a rowing event that day & at least 3 other NCAA teams eating there as well). The food options were plentiful and enjoyable, including lots of healthy options. It was a bonus way to get an additional feel for student life at Clemson and we felt it really added a useful dimension to our visit.
And don’t miss the '55 Exchange Ice Cream in the Hendrix Center!
Enjoy your visit.

Thank you all! This is just what I was looking for.

Depending upon how long you plan to be in the area, try to visit Greenville (about 50 minutes away). The downtown area is delightful. Lots of restaurants and shops. Falls Park is beautiful and Fluor Field is a minor league baseball park for the Red Sox and includes a mini- Green Monster. When my son was at Clemson, we sometimes even stayed in Greenville when we visited.
