2.0 Gpa and SUNY Stony Brook

Ok my overall GPA for High school is a 75 which i believe is a 2.0 GPA... I know im so stupid....

My SAT score was a 1510...

I did no community service, during my freshmen, sophmore, and junior year and im doing one now in my senior year. Where i teach kids and help them with their homeworks in a after school academy. No team, No clubs. Im 1 yr behind in Science, and Language. I totally messed up my highschool years and i never knew this day would come..

So now im in the beginning of my senior year and i plan on taking the SAT again, and this time i think i will do better, because i've been going to SAT prep and i think i really improved. Maybe around an 1800. So i just want to know will i be able to get in to SUNY Stony Brook, cause i heard people with 2.0 GPA got into Stony. Was it cause it was a special program where they take students who did bad in HS and try raising them or what? Do you guys think i have a chance at all?

If not will i be able to go through transfer, from CC? What can i do at CC do get accepted to Stony Brook? GPA? Credits? How many hours of Community service?

bump
Is this allowed

wow, thats a low gpa lol

I suggest a CC. 2.0/1500 wont cut it at a higher SUNY like SB.

w t f are 'homeworks'?

What if my senior average was a 90% out of 100% because thats how im doing in my first semester right now.. Plus I plan on doing good on the SAT, still no chance? I overslept for 3 years and didn't wake up during my highschool years.. now im paying the price

I thought you meant 1510 on the old scale. Good luck, SB is actually pretty competitive

You don't have the stats for Stony Brook. My d is at SUNY Cortland. For Cortland and many of the other SUNY colleges, you need to be in the B- range and around 1600 SAT's. And even that won't guarantee you a spot.
I think you should apply to SB-- but you need to be realistic and look into some of the community colleges too. SUNY Delhi (which is near Oneonta) has a pretty nice campus, dorms and has alot of kids from the NYC area. You may also want to check out your local cc, be it Nassau, Suffolk, Kingsborough etc. They really do have pretty good programs and it's fairly easy to transfer into a 4 year college upon graduation. Good luck.

What if i wanted to go to a CC for one year and then transfer to SUNY SB, What kind of stats do i have to get to match the requirements for SB transfer. Like GPA, EC's, and credits, and do i need to take the SAT at my CC year again?

Will my HS transcript still count?
