So I was just accepted to one of the alternative campuses which is Penn State York. My dream college is University Park and I really want to be there as soon as possible. Is it possible to take extra classes to get more credits so I can change campuses before the 2 year period? My major is currently Computer Science and supposedly it takes 1.5 years for SOME campuses, but what about Penn State York?

It is usually a true 2+2 depending on the major. Some majors, as you said, require you to get up to main campus after a year and a half or so - but most, are 2 years. That being said, if you are ahead enough due to dual enroll classes in college, then it may end up that the classes you need are not at the branch. I’ve asked this same question and was told that it’s a decision between your advisor and you. So no clear cut answer other than yes, it’s possible…but unlikely you will get up to main campus prior to 2 years. You can always call the CS dept. at York and ask them.
