^^ no, silverturtle

i am not sure, but i think handala lost a total of 5 questions. he could have achieved a perfect even if he lost only 2 question on the CR.

Guys, remember that colleges don’t receive just your scores. They also receive an SAT score report. So, if they see for example an 740 in math which is due to 2 wrong questions which belong at the “easy” difficulty group, and all the “hard” and “medium” difficulty questions are answered correctly they will probably realize that the 2 wrong answers where due to a stupid mistakes and they will understand that 90% the applicant knew how to solve these questions. In this case I don’t think that they would see this applicant as “weaker in math” than an applicant with an 800. Remember that SAT’s are just relative indicators of the applicants abilities.

Really? I hope they do scrutinize to that level because I got 720 on maths due to wrong answer on 2 easy and 1 medium questions. Your post makes me excited lol.

Meh, I was a few essay points short from a 2400. I suppose that’s what I get for not preparing. :(

The nice thing about the essay is that you can basically ignore it if you can get really confident with the MC. I figured that, personally, my time would be better spent shooting for 100% MC (writing is, if you ask me, the easiest section to improve) and that’s how I nabbed my 800 (80MC 10 Essay)

A decently written firsthand experience is an easy 10 if you follow the 5p formula.

Heh, I had an 8 essay, but the MC curve was brutal. I only got one question wrong but ended up with a 75 raw.

Bah this is really lame :(

i WAS shooting for 100% MC on writing.
I got one question wrong (77MC) but I messed up on the essay (8). I ended up with a 730 on writing.
So yeah. Don’t ignore the essay completely. I was actually expecting a 10 at least, but turns out I suck at writing essays

Ouch, that must be painful, impetuous. Missing one questions and getting a 730, lol.
