I have a 2.8 gpa(will probably not change), and a 1600 sat score, what colleges if any will accept me. Also if my gpa lowers will unlv accept me? Does having a 1040 on the reading and math automatically get you accepted into unlv?

Schools with very high acceptance rates (over 80%) might accept you. Having a 1040 only puts you in the upper part of their middle 50% SAT range so no it does not automatically get you accepted into unlv nor the vast majority of other schools. If your gpa gets any lower and your testing scores do not go up and you wish to go to a well ranked university you might want to consider 2 years of CC first. Get good grades there then apply to better schools.

on the unlv website it said that any score above 1040 would let you be admissible, i didn’t know if it meant that you would automatically be accepted or if it was a maybe we will still let you in consideration even though your gpa is low

I’ve never heard of an automatic acceptance cutof line with SAT’s but I’m not too familiar with the school. I guess it’s possible but it seems strange. That might also only apply to instate students.
