2 AP Calculus Questions

These are more exam-related than problem-related, but...

a) I know it says we are allowed to bring two calculators but are we allowed to use both at the same time? I'm mainly using a TI-84 but I thought I'd bring my TI-89 just in case I go brain-dead and need to factor something quickly.

b) Since it says you don't have to clear your memory, are you allowed to write down formulas and such on Part A of the free response (the calculator section) and then use these on Part B of the free response (non-calculator) since you will still have your Part A packet during this time?

Thanks.

a) I believe you are allowed to use them both simultaneously, but I would double-check with your AP coordinator (if for no other reason than to see what rule they planned to enforce).

b) You can write whatever you want on Part A of the Free Response, but since you won't have the Part B questions before you have to put your calculators away, you'll really just be restricted to the kinds of formulas that you know you struggle to remember normally.
