2 APs at the same time, what now?

So the physics B and the physics C: mechanics are both on the same day and time, and i still wanna take both. what happens now, and is it too late to sign up for an AP?

According to the College Board website, "Coordinators should order late-testing exams for students who would like to take exams that are scheduled for the same slot."

2008 & 2009 Exam Calendars

why would you ever take physics C and B exams???? B is not even accepted at some colleges. C covers anything B would test out of. thats pointless and colleges will see how shallow you are about numbers of APs

erright...shallow...my school only offer physics b, nd im thinking of just self studying c cuz im taking calc bc

What's the point? If the college take the physics ap at all, only take the c one (and do both portions).
If you REALLY want to do it (you won't get any double credit for this), you can always opt to pay the cb even more money to take one of the exams late. Another $40 I think.

I agree; if you take the physics C, there's no point in taking the physics B. The class that you're taking in school right now doesn't affect which AP test you have to take. You can be in a Physics B class and not take the Physics B test.

its more like im required to take the test in order to get credit for taking the class (its a new rule that our district passed this year)...so becuz im in a physics b class, i have to take the physics b ap exam if i want it to show on my transcript that i actually took an AP class, otherwise, itll show up as just advanced physics

That's stupid. That's like a waste of $84! Why not just have it show up as advanced physics, and then explain it in your college apps?

if i dont take it, i wont get the weighting to my average...and we already paid for them like in october (b4 i decided to take physics c)...

Yeah, my school does the same thing. If you take a class, you must take the test or else you fail the class.

Talk to your AP coordinator about it (s)he would know better than we would about the specifics.

Definitely check with your school's AP coordinator to see if you can get the AP "credit" and GPA weighting for the Physics C exam in lieu of Physics B. It just seems logical that they would let you take the more difficult exam in the same subject if you want to, because you're not really trying to get out of taking an AP exam.
