2 C's & Failed Midterms on Midyear Report...bye college?

I applied to several ivies and top schools

Im a senior, first marking period grades were ok, A's and a 2 high B's.

However, this marking period (2nd) i really screwed up (problably havent been working as hard as last year/ senioritis of course).
I got C's in physics C E/M and C calc BC, and B+ in biology, and basically failed all three midterms, advanced english is probably A ( grade and midterm), and electronics proabaly A.

It's not like i've been going out and partying, but rather my courseload is hard and im trying to relax after a very stressful jr. year/ college apps.

Senioritis is supposed to start AFTER you get admitted.

I know, but these dang classes are so hard!
2nd mp got insanely harder

Yes, these grades will impact your chances. Colleges that ask for midyear reports do so precisely to check for big grade drops and to make sure you’re managing your senior year well.

should i email my colleges and explain them why?
It has some laziness but i’ve tried really hard in these classes, its the hardest courseload in my school,

You’re going to tell the most elite schools in the country that your grades dropped because your HS classes are too hard?

^ your right. But I don’t know what to do at this point.
but comon, people take calc AB and physics B and get in, i took calc BC and physics C E/M, doesn’t that mean anything?
I’m sorry, i guess im just asking for assurance from someone has had similar grades and still gotten in (without hooks) or known of anyone who has. Im really hopeing for Cornell/ Rice/Northwestern

Im also a bio major if that kinda changes anything

Bro listen up: STOP MAKING EXCUSES. Accept that you’re human and you made a mistake. Telling Cornell that calc bc is too hard is a BAD idea. You have to live with your mistakes, and in the end, you will probably be ok.

You’re going to be competing against people who haven’t let their grades drop. Ivies get more than enough qualified applicants. You’ve given them a reason not to choose you.

What are your match and safety schools?

Ok, i understand.
I was just hopeing that mabey looking at my schedule they would let it slide? since it was only 2nd mp, not both.

No excuses, sorry if it came off that way. I guess i will wait and see what happens.
Mom2collegekids- i already got into safety, and match dosent even really care about mid-year, so im ok.
