2 Full pages, but lack of quality-- possible scores?

I filled 2 pages. Used 2 examples. Wrote a conclusion that fitted 3 lines(didn't have room). SCores?

Thanks.

That's very similar to mind except my conclusion was 4 or 5 lines and I used current events/history examples.

Score me plz!

8, 10 if you're lucky.

lol what!? if i'm lucky? i wrote 2 freaking pages though......................

what are your examples?

historical?
current events?
books?
periodicals?

orr

made up stuff, or personal experience

personal. lol and "alarm clocks" haha! I didn't go the conventional way.

how can you grade like this?
my essay was 5 paragraphs, hella long, only 2 sentences and 3 lines for conclusion (squeezed into like 2 lines lol)
My examples:
- people getting fat
- walden pond
- historical fact

im beginning to think i wrote the essay wrong. I didn't have concrete examples; like i mentioned people being fat but did not quote an exact statistic or book or whatever. and i mentioned some historical thing but did not say where it came from.

if you wrote about personal experiences, those are considered the worst examples. you COULD be in for an 8 or a 10, just depending. i wouldn't expect anything more or less..

you narcissa:
since you used a historical fact, and 2 pages you are probably in for a 10, depending on your clarity, etc.

the bottom line:
if you write two pages your minimum is basically 8.
you can increase your score with decent to good examples. (to a 10 or 12..)

remember fellas: the essay only counts 30% of your writing so an 8 will not kill you!

how are personal examples the worst? I've read several personal examples that received 6s?

I used like the computer and calculator and tied them with a little personal experience.

@JRo don't be a personal experience hater :P

well the only difference b/t my examples and those that the SAT seems to like is that mine don't have names. they don't say, according to BOOK, blah blah blah. they just say blah blah blah. They don't say, 12% of Americans are over 500 pounds. they say lots of americans are overweight. etc. etc. should we make up stats -_-

lol quickandslow, i thought my alarm clock example is so like ***. lol imagine reading an essay about an "alarm clock" =]

It's ok Narcissa. I'm sure you'll make 2350+ Come on your Asian for crying out loud. Have some pride!

@jumpngo Hahah don't worry. I had one about a calculator and one about spell-check on the computer and crap like that lol!:P

didn't anyone use Brave New World? It seemed tailor made for this prompt?

haha mine was same as yours, i have quantity but not quality

did anyone get this essay prompt?
does past incidents influence the present?

i filled the two pages completely.my examples were galileo's clash with church and how it still affects the present science and pastuer's clash with spontaneous generation theory.i thought this was the best essay i have ever written.last time i got 10.

this is what i did

4 paragraphs ~ 1 2/3 length

what do you think, how much is this?

I used the 1920s, and my family as an example for the technology prompt.
