OK So I got a 760 on Chem, 800 on Math IIC, but a 630 in Lit. How much will this affect my admissions??? I took Lit right after Chem and Math on the same day so I pretty much bs'd the test. I wonder how much this will affect admissions since some colleges only require two SAT IIs, but you have to turn in all your scores, so I want to know how that works too.

Many colleges that require two IIs look at highest two, others actually consider all submitted. So impact likely depends on college. However, if you are applying for math , science, or engineering to a college that requires two, it is likely not to have any adverse impact even if they look at all three

Can't you report only the good scores with this new thing, Score Choice?

I'm 09 so it doesnt affect us.

For 2010 you will need to check the application rules of the colleges when they are released in summer or fall. Some of the high ranks have already announced that they will require students to submit all scores regardless of the new College Board rule.

What new College Board rule?

It depends on the college and your intended major. Liberal arts-style college much prefer strong scores across disciplines, so two math-science scores are not as good as one math-science and one lit-humanities, bcos they can be writing-intensive. Ditto Stanford, unless applying to their College of Engineering. The UCs don't care, unless applying to Colleges of Engineering or Chemistry (in which case strong math-science is preferred).

It really depends on the college because some colleges require at least one English SAT Subject test so they may look at it and disregard one of the other ones. Chances are though, it will not harm you that much because colleges look at you as positively as possible. If they see 3 scores and only require 2, they'll take just take the other two.
