#2 pencils.. or mechanical pencils?

Are HB mechanical pencils allowed in SAT, ACT,& AP testing? The HB is the same as the #2 ... right?

Mechanical pencils aren’t allowed, but I highly doubt the proctor will say anything to you (I used them on the SAT and nothing happened any nobody said anything).

Me and many of my classmates used them on the APUSH exam and PSAT and they didn’t say anything about it. I thought it was different for the SAT & ACT

Technically mechanical pencils aren’t allowed. Why take the chance and waste time and money?

I used a mechanical pencil on all my SAT IIs in June. Got 800’s on both of em.

Dont use mechanical pencils… Just use the normal nummber 2 pencils and you will be fine for SAT.

Why risk it? Just use regular number 2 pencils.

-Facepalm-
Only on CC… Only on CC.

They’re pencils. If you find a #1 or #3, don’t use it. Otherwise, you should be fine.

But since this is CC and we’re all nerds… Bring a mechanical one for your scratch work and a dullish wooden one for bubbling.

use a mechanical if you normally use them. I always use them even if they repeatedly say not to. It’s fine. I got 800s on my subject tests and 2390 on my SAT 1. Chill and use what you want.
