1) Do adcoms evaluate your second semester college grades? Are these grades released in time?

2) If you're applying for sophomore standing, is it okay if your recommendations come from teachers you had in senior year (hs)?

Thanks in advance for your help.

The answer is usually No in both cases..But some schools generally allow you to submit recommendation from a high school teacher but it definitely does not have the same effect as that of a professor in a university...

schools do ask for a final transcript, though, right?

how bad would second semester grades have to be in order for an acceptance to be rescinded???

though i guess i'm getting ahead of myself here, since i'm still really really worried about whether i'll get in at all....

its generally depends on the school but most schools only want you to get higher than a D so as not to rescind your admission...

if something really unusual happens with one class in particular, will they generally listen to an explanation?
