1) Is the engineering and public policy major a big task to fulfill? If i can do this then it will be a push for me towards going to CMU. Do you need to apply into it sometime during your sophomore year or something?

2) How easy is it to transfer between schools at CMU? I don't plan on transfering (I'm not some kid who applied to the easiest school then is going to try and transfer to SCS each year-- I don't even like computer science), but incase I decided like economics instead of engineering I don't want to be stuck in engineering.

Going from CIT to H&SS shouldn't be that difficult since H&SS is a lot easier to get into than CIT. It's also an easier move since I imagine you'll get a lot more of your breadth requirements covered in your first year or two while taking engineering classes than as an econ major trying to switch into engineering.

E&PP isn't a super-intensive double major. It's probably easier than Biomedical Engineering, though maybe not as easy as psychology or something of that sort. Dunno when you do the application or whatever (if there is even one), but generally if you're in engineering you take the intro to EPP course in the spring after taking the engineering you want to do in the fall.

What about transferring to Econ at Tepper?

Econ is in H&SS, joint administrated with Tepper. The only undergraduate major that Tepper has is business.

Dude. EPP is so easy. Don't worry. Well, there are project classes that you need to take, but they replace other classes, so it won't really increase workload. Also, transferring within engineering very easy. transferring into engineering shouldn't be too hard. transferring into econ should be fine too.
