1) Is it possible to get a rejection letter early instead of the usual months like April or May?

2) Why is UW sending smaller envelopes for acceptance letter?
I've heard from some people, who got their letters recently, that they didn't get one of those huge envelopes, but a regular/small one (which freaked them out at first :P) ?

1) I haven’t heard of that happening…yet. I bet UW wants to look at all their choices before rejecting people. What if they rejected someone who’s slightly borderline who would be accepted when compared to other, later applicants? Thats just how I see it.

2) Well… the people shouldn’t have been freaked out with the regular/smaller envelope, cuz a) it was purple, b) it said ‘THE BIG ENVELOPE’ really big on the little envelope. They said that they would send the ‘huge envelope’ aka ‘THE packet’ in January in the acceptance letter. Perhaps it’s just not ready yet, (maybe they needed information/data from a group of people who contribute to the packet?)

Just my guesses. :O

haha yeah,
i just found it funny when they told me.
they saw the words on the envelope after they pulled it out properly from a pile of letters.

Haha yeah I was holding the envelope and I hadn’t opened it yet… my parents freaked out and were like “AHHH YOU GOT REJECTED AHHH!!” but I was kind of disappointed because I thought I didn’t get in either, since the ‘THE BIG ENVELOPE’ lettering was also in purple, the room was dark-ish, and I couldn’t see it… haha :D

Doesn’t the envelope still say “WELCOME!” on it, though? Wouldn’t that be a big clue, haha?

But it is indeed pretty thin, but it’s a manila sized envelope, not a small letter sized one.

My envelope didn’t say welcome on it, but the inside was pretty “WELCOME TO UW!!!”-ish. :D
