ANSWER: 104 degrees

A line has parametric equations x=5+t and y=7+t, where t is the parameter. The slope of the line is
ANSWER: 1

My question is, how do you solve these problems? Thanks in advance.

A(2,1), B(5,1), C(3,5), D(6,5). Find the slope of CA, using that find the angle and then find its supplement. angle = 76, supplement = 104.

The slope intercept form of the equation is y = x+2. Compare it with y=mx + c and you will see that m=1.(m=slope)

1) A (2,1), B (3,5), C (6,5), and D (5,1) --> Draw a perpendicular height from C down to D and name it E, the length of that would be (6,5) - (6,1) = 4. Then draw a horizontal base from E to D, the length of that would be 1. You can see that the triangle formed is a right triangle with base = 1 and leg = 4. Use Inverse Tan (4) = 76 degrees. The supplement of that is the large angle of the parallelogram = 180-76 = 104.

2) Simply eliminate T by plugging X - 5 into the Y equation. You then see that the coefficient next to X is 1.
