2 Quick Questions Regarding Berkley Breadth Requirements

High school AP scores can count towards breadth requirements, right?

For example, for this:

Arts and Humanities: Two courses from areas such as Art, Drama, Ethics, Film,
Foreign Language (any level), Literature, Music, Philosophy, Religious Studies,
Rhetoric, and Theater, including history, theory and studio/practice courses in
these areas.

Will AP scores in Art History and Music Theory that my CC recognizes (I got a 3 in each, which my CC sees as passing) count towards Haas breadth requirement? I’d hate to find out that AP scores that satisfy my CC don’t satisfy the UC I’m transferring to.

For this:

International Studies: Two courses from areas such as Asian Studies, Foreign
Language (any level), History, International Relations, Latin American Studies,
Near Eastern Studies, and Political Science. Choose from courses about a single
country other than the U.S., or two or more countries (may include the U.S.).

Could I take two different Beginning Level foreign languages? Or do they have to be successive courses of the same language?

Thank you very much!

Hm, I can't seem to edit my post, but I also want to ask one more quick question.

For this:

Literature/Writing Requirement (formerly Additional English):

This requirement is in addition to the English/R&C requirement listed below and
must be satisfied by the completion of one course (taught in English) in which
literature or writing is studied, not including the courses used to satisfy the
R & C requirement. Choose a writing or literature course from the Creative
Writing, English or Literature departments. The course must be UC-transferable for at least 3 semester or 4 quarter units. Which writing or literature course you take for this requirement is up to you.

...does a 4 on the AP Literature exam count?

THANK YOU SO MUCH to all who can help!

I believe only a 5 on the AP Lit course will satisfy the requirement.

Undergraduate Program - Admissions - Haas School of Business

that answers all of your AP course related questions

^ Thanks for the link!

Weird. There are several exams that my CC doesn't recognize that Haas does. Guess they weren't a waste after all. XD
