What does it mean by “Department” when listing your senior schedule on the application?

Actually, I have 3:

How many interests would be a good number to check? I checked like 13 from all different schools (besides music). Is that too many?

i agree, but just to help..
1. the department is probably the department you are applying to, as in Natural Sciences or Humanities.
2. attach them.
3. i have no idea honestly.. but check things you have an honest, not whimsical interest in. think of it this way, would you have answered one of those interests on your own, or only if someone gave you that option?
4. you should put the two highest. i guess it should be three now.. that's probably just an artifact they didn't think about.

it means high school department like english, social studies, science...so you would put AP physics as course and then science as department, or jazz ensemble as course and music as dept.

i only put 3 things. i'm sure you can put more but 13 is a lot. don't put something unless you seriously think you might major in it or take a LOT of classes in it
