2 semester of Eng for transfer students?

I'm currently getting ready to apply for USC as a transfer student, but I found out I need 2 semesters of English before enrolling.

"You must complete two semesters of English composition before enrolling at USC."

Well, at my current university, we require 2 semesters of English as a general requirement too. Since I took the AP exam for Eng Lang and Eng Lit, I got credit for Eng I. I just finished Eng II last semester at my university, so I think I'm all set for applying. BUT I just found out USC wont accept AP Eng credit in order to fulfill the general writing requirement (its only accepted as an elective credit). So should I still apply anyways because I already completed the second semester of English?

BTW, I emailed my regional advisor about this problem, but considering the fact that it's winter break, they won't be responding to me any time soon.

Well, it's ambiguous. They could mean you need to take two whole semesters, or that you need to complete the second course in the two course sequence.

You probably want to check with USC, but I can't imagine it would hurt you that much. Maybe if you're borderline.
