2 weeks in counting...

My Daughter got in!!!!! We are so excited

congrats! i bet she will love it

westbeach, i hope ur right about getting in normal if u got deferred

there was something I read somewhere that the worst thing you can do if you get deferred is to do nothing. In the next couple of days you should contact the admissions person who reviewed your app and find out what you need to do in order to be accepted!!! Good Luck!

how would i do that?

yep, i have the same question.

Yea do you just email the admissions office or a specific couselor or what?

yeah i was deferred too and i'd really like to get in next time around...so i'll do whatever it takes ;-)

UVa Class of 2010. Holler.

Holla back hugeuge2k, see you on campus! :) :) :)

on GROUNDS, semiserious ;)

It was a post on one of the other threads around here and it said to call and ask for the admissions person....hey I'll try to find it...

I know that kids from my son's school who were deferred ED last year were admitted during RD. The link is to info from the main CC site, and it has some great info. I wish you much luck!

that is exactly what I was trying to find! Thanks Coronax2! I was planning on doing exactly what was recommended if my daughter had not got in.

I posted more in depth stats in the acceptance thread.

Cavalier BABY!

BTW, thank you Cav302 for reading my essays and assuring me that they were "solid" haha.

jmlbrads, we had that same backup plan too, as well as some other great colleges for plan B. There's a lot of great info on the main CC site. I really recommend it for those who haven't checked it out.

Man, that's out of the way now but I hate to be left hanging until next year before we can do anything more. Maybe the mailed packet will be illuminating.

congrats to all who got in!

I was wondering, do any of u know what percentage of deferrals are accepted into RD?

depends on the quality of RD applicants. if they are good. then................

wow, the stress is finally over

my bestest friend since i was like 2 and i both just got accepted. i hope i see all of you next year!!!!!!!!!
