okay, okay. So this may sound pretty dumb, but as an upcoming freshman to a 2 year college. Can i ONLY do my core classes? or can i some way enroll to do core classes and an associates degree. I’m so lost; any help would be greatly appreciated!
I think you take classes towards your A.A
You need to sit down with a counselor at your school and ask this question. That person is there to answer questions just like this. And also to guide you in a direction that will help you with your plans. Each school is a bit different so you need to find out exactly what your school offers and how best to meet your goals at that school.
You have to take classes towards your Associate’s degree, but you CAN take other classes. Ask your school about the maximum amount of credits per semester, a full course list with descriptions of each course, and what classes you need to take for your major (and how many credits they are each).
@endless67 Wait so classes towards your A.A degree a pretty much core classes or are they classes for major?
Both. You really need to sit down with the counselor at your school and lay out a 2 year plan of courses that deal with both your core requirements and get you going on your major. There are many courses that do double duty, and the order in which you take the classes can matter also.
