I took 2 years of Spanish in Middle School and 2 years of Latin in High School, then started doubling in science classes. Does this satisfy the 3 year language requirement? For Stanford, for example.

It is not likely that Stanford will accept any courses taken in middle school. Only courses that appear on your high school transcript will be applicable.

Whether it satisfies it or not it is a weak position to come from for super selective schools you ideally want to reach level 4/AP. I think that will be seen as lacking. I don’t see it will be counted as 3 yrs,–were they hs level classes, will it be on your hs transcript?

I probably should have mentioned, I took 3 years of Spanish in Middle School and 2 of those years were high school credit. I’m fairly certain it’ll show up on my transcript.
I also took Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II through Middle School and made all B’s and 1 C. You think that’ll be taken into account on my transcript as well?

Why don’t you talk to your HS GC about these technical details and how things will turn out on your transcripts.

Usually schools want 3 years in the same language but you should check with Stanford admissions.

Should’ve taken Spanish 3 and AP -.-

“3 years of foreign language” typically means completing high school level 3 or higher in at least one foreign language.
