Do i need 2 years of foreign language before my senior year? does it hurt my chance if i only have 1 credit before senior year and is taking the other one in the last year of hs? Really, foreign language classes at my school sucks and i see no benefit in taking 4 of these classes. but i looked at some suggested schedules of some schools and there are like " 4 years of foreign language".
Please help me . I really need to know whether changing my schedule to make room for French 2 would be necessary or not. I took French 1 as a sophomore.Iam an international student living in DC with the embassy of my country. Iam not an ESL student. i came here in November of my fresh man year ( yeah , i missed the 1st advisory). Iam a junior now..

yeah i think that you should probably take french two. most colleges like at least three years, and definitely two.

As long as you have the language on your future schedules, that should be fine. However, seeing as how you say that your language sucks, I'd personally turn to other options. Is there any way that you can take the language at another place? Perhaps online, even? I'd say to look into that.

hey i hve a questions. So most college say 3-4 years of foreign lang. Well i took french 1 in middle school, then french 2 in frosh and french 3 in soph. Now i was wondering if that constitues for my 3 years, or should i take another year (aiming for top colleges)? I have heard conflicting info on this. My conseuler told me it did account for 3 years but i have heard in other places it does not. BTW i really suck at foreign lang so i want to avoid it.

iam thinking about doing french 3 in my senior year. Does it hurt my chance if i don't have french 2 in my transcript in soph year but self-study it? Thanks alot

i am pretty sure that that counts as three years. and since you took a high school level class (french 1) in middle school, thats even more of a plus.
