last act trial and this is my score...would any 4 year colleges even accept me? I feel so dumb coz so many people with a lower gpa have a higher score... My sat score is just as bad I should just die...

Are you not good at standardized testing or something…

Yeah, I guess I should have said that… I suck at them

A 20 ACT score is pretty much average, so yes plenty of schools will accept you. There are also test optional schools (google it, I’m on my phone) that don’t require students to submit their scores

bepremed huh? Good luck with the MCATs. Did you not atleast do some prep? I think you can significantly improve your scores if you sit down and gather some strategies.

There are definitely still schools that will accept you, but this will look very odd to a lot of the most selective universities. They’ll probably think your school has a very inflated GPA system (I don’t know if your school actually DOES). What classes have you taken? If you’ve been taking AP classes and scoring well on those exams, that will look pretty good. Schools tend to care more about strength of schedule than your actual GPA.

Consider taking the SAT? Maybe you’ll do better on that; I did.

Maybe you should take the test again…

It might be too late to take any tests again coz imma start sending my college apps… I got a 1500 on the sat btw.

Most schools will happily accept a student with a 1500 4.0GPA. The vast majority of universities aren’t terribly selective and many of these institutions provide an excellent education.

sometimes I just can’t handle people with perfect grades yet have relatively horrible testing scores.

how is that even possible that you got a 20? just saying you suck at standardized testing testing doesn’t cut it if you have a 4.0.

well what else do you want me to say? took it once, got a low score. Prepped, took it again, still a low score. If ur not going to contribute to this thread in any ways, please zip it.

Perhaps your school has grade inflation? I’ve seen that at some schools the AVERAGE GPA is 3.5, but their ACT scores are around 20. Everyone can’t be “well above average.”

I have the same problem 22 ACTs and 1600s SATs with a 4.0 GPA and ranked 4th of my class.
I also have a five on the AP English language an Calc AB yet cant do well on these standardized tests

Hard work =4.0. I’m guessing you feel as if you have really busted your booty for your grades. Just not a good test taker? That’s fine. (Shame on you who criticize!)
Because working hard will eventually give you a leg up in real life. Keep your chin up. This world takes all kinds.

It seems like test optional schools were made for students like you w/ good grades. Check out Wake Forest, American, among many others.
