20 Day Study Plan??

Hi , I'm planning on taking the sat in October and am asking for suggestions on how to study for the next few weeks. I've only taken it once last june 570 reading 540 math and 500 CR...... Fml. I'm shooting for at least a 1900+ and since im a senior, this is sort of my last shot. Does that seem realistic at all? And to all of you high scorers out there.... How often and how long did you study for, and is it really worth getting a tutor?

Thanx

Since you have so little time, and since you haven’t yet studied for the test, you would do well to get some external help.

Anyone? :D

Yea dude u can do it.

You can definitely do it. Math should be a 700+ easily with concentration, which leaves you with 600 for other sections. Practice. Don’t worry about vocabulary.

Bdale2012:
Bro, I have the same problem but a worst! I took my SAT is june and got 430CR, 680M, 510W. I took SAT prep for about a month and didn’t get that much help from it. A week before school started, I focused only on Writing. I read over, and took notes of Silverturtles guide and Sparknotes guide.
I set out my study plan last week for the whole month of September until October 1st. Everyother day I:
1)Read over 30 pages from the Collegeboard BB.
2)Do a test from Dr.Chungs which is very hard. I don’t always do it
3)Memorize 30 words from Direct hits.
Everyother day that I am not doing the above, I try to take a Practice test from the BB and go over what i got wrong.

Since you have 20 days I think you should do:
1)25 words from direct hits
2)take one day and read sparknotes guide.
3)take a practice SAT twice everyweek.

I took the June SAT which i went in with no prior SAT prep. I answered almost all of the questions which you’re not supposed to do. When i went into the SAT, i had no clue of anything about the SAT.

I am hoping for a 2000+ to get into a GREAT school to satisfy me and more importantly my family.

I really really really hope you do well bro. I’m in a worst sitituation. goodluckdude. :)

Thanx man. I really appreciate it. I checked out a barrons book from the library, and have the blue book. Does anybody know what book gives better over all advice? I keep getting tricked like crazy on the math sections… Shuld steady practice over the next few weeks get rid of this. At this point I feel that time spent studying vocab will be better spent in other sections, idk of it’s actually the case or not. I might get a tutor, or I might not m, but i plan to study at least an hr a night till the test date. Is it better to study all three sections a night or switch between sections each night and study em all together on the weekends?
