When I am working on a cellphone and input a member’s name to PM, oftentimes that name disappears once I’ve finished entering the message, so I input the name again.
After doing so the message will send and there will be a notification of “+20” others which flashes on the screen.
When I check for the “+20 others” included, most times there are no others.
Today, among the other recipients of a message was a user not active since 2006, and my own username mortarboard ( listed (19x) among those “+20” others). Clicking through on the icon let me see it was my own account to which the mortarboard was assigned.
What am I doing wrong?
Yes! I’ve gotten that as well…it’s when I totally forget to put the recipients name in the PM box before I hit send.
I was hoping it want into the CC dead letter box!
If not…who are those 20 others?
@CCadmin_Sorin
Thanks for reporting, guys! I created an internal ticket for tech and will get back once I have news.
@CCadmin_Sorin I will add…I have gotten this way more than once…and no one has ever replied to my PM saying “uh?” Or anything else.
@thumper1: I was glad to see the unintended recipient of my rather innocuous PM has not been active in a million years, but still…
Lol - this glitch has scared me in the past (like, did that thing I just said in private just get sent to 20+ random CC people??). Like @thumper1, I’ve never got back a “huh”, or “REALLY?” sort of response. So I’ve assumed it isn’t REALLY going out to more people. But it is disconcerting.
