<p>it isn’t refundable, but it isn’t binding. I haven’t heard of any benefits to submitting it early, as long as its in before the housing stuff starts up you will be fine.</p>
<p>Finance, although it is not binding, you need not pay it until April.</p>
<p>i hate it when they say “secure your spot in the freshman class!” in the emails, etc.–makes me feel antsy. but yeah, don’t need to decide if you still have some RD schools in the works</p>
<p>I am not sure of the exact timing, but the $ 200 enrollemtn deposit needs to be submitted serveral weeks before the housing lottery - it takes some time to be processed. You cannot submit it the day before the housing lottery. It says all this in the admissions packet - check it out just to be sure you are okay for housing. </p>
<p>We have submitted the deposit for my d - it is non refundable, but it is not binding. Between now & August, there will still be students changing their minds based on personal reasons, financial reasons, waitlists, etc. This is not like ED.</p>
