2000 -> 2300+

Okay so I was googling how to jump from 2000 to a 2300 and most of the posts just say "Do more practice tests".

Really? That can't be all you do for the next 5 months, right?

Honestly it is. Getting above a 2000 means you know your stuff pretty much and just have to start practicing a lot more to get all the grammar rules, math problem types, and CR trends/methods nailed down.

So all you do is problems after problems after problems? Doesn’t it get boring after the twentieth test or something?

F*** yes it does, but that is how you improve really. I had an epiphany after the 20th test and my CR score skyrocketed because all that practice allowed me to realize how to best get an answer and what type of phrases and words to look for in passages. It really does help. After 2000, just memorize DH and know your grammar rules and you are golden with practice.

Going from 1940 to 2100+ has been the most difficult for me. I’ve only got over 2100 twice.
I took a SAT prep academy at Elite, it was very very good, and I raised my score 300 points but getting over 2100 was just impossible to do consistently.

But after I finished the academy, I went 3 months of not studying, then studied for about a week and taught some students who got 1900 or lower. Helping other tutors allowed me to see just how easy the SAT sections really were and helped me identify the mistakes and solutions for the problems rather easily. So the combination of studying and teaching allowed me to get a consistent score of near 2200.

I have 3 months left to improve 150 points and I’m sure I am on the right track.

Yeah, it’s kind of boring.

Reminds me of my mid school days when I played WoW and grinded all day to earn gold.

very very doable, happened to me so I’m sure you can too. at that point you get how to do stuff but just goof up on silly things
