Does anyone that took the 2004 AP U.S. History test remember what the DBQ was about, because if I know that it will give me a good idea of what the DBQ will not be this year.

French and Indian war

I think the Free Response essay questions are much more difficult than the DBQ.

So do you have any guesses on what it may be?

I was totally shocked at the Fr. and Indian War DBQ - totally unexpected. I still got 4 pages on it but I took more than the recommended time. Of course since the Free Responses were so rediculously easy that I did them in about 20 minutes each - 3 pages each :D

Maybe Louisiana Purchase for DBQ?? That's what I thought it was gonna be on last year.

yeah the F and I war definitley caught me off gaurd, we learned that at the beginning of the year and weren't really reviewing it in the days leading up to the test. I think most everyone had a tough time with that one. But like crypto said, the easy FRQ's made up for it

i think it was "how did the F-I war change the attitude of colonials."

more along the lines of how did F-I war change the attitudes of british towards colonials

The DBQ was outlined in Barron's prep book... It was about salutary neglect, how the French and Indian war led to the revolution due to the lack of motivation for colonists to pay taxes after the FI war ended. I only studied up to WWI and almost jumped for joy at the DBQ. ;)

Well if 2004 was the French and Indian war that is the first half of the United States' history and I found somewhere that the 2002 dbq was also on the first half and I have heard that it usually rotates from first half to second half eache year. My guess would be that the 2005 dbq will be on the second half. If somebody knows what the 2003 dbq was and it was the second half of American history that would assure me more, but they could still surprise us with a first half question but I am leaning toward a second half question this year.

somehow i guessed the 2004 dbq was going to be on colonial times, more specifically something about the revolution... and thus i spent more time studying that time period hoping my instincts were right... and i really think it boosted my score and secured my 5 on the test :)

it was kind of an educated guess because i was looking at the frequency of topics on past DBQ's, and something in colonial times hadn't come up for awhile

I took the Form B test for internationals. Our 2004 APUSH DBQ was on 1928-1941 foreign policy.

Are the international tests totally different?
