<p>Nope, SEAS applicant for Biomedical Engineering.</p>
<p>All of last week I kept on thinking "penn decisions come out next week...cool" But I realized that now is 'next week' and they are coming out in a couple of days and although I'm expecting a definite rejection, I'm excited. </p>

Same same!!! I feel like such a geek for checking this forum so often to verify the date, but I'm really hyped up for this.</p>

<p>my stats:
GPA: 3.72 (86.5 semester units)
HS GPA: 3.74
Major: Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations (Arabic/Hebrew studies)
Prereqs: all except middle eastern foreign language <---bad
ACT: 26 <---that's what's killing me! :-(
EC: Hillel vp, special olympics, volunteer at senior center, orchestra, in professional community band, president of young democrats, French Club, established inter-faith club, i take Hebrew lessons and Swedish lessons every week (outside of school), etc etc etc
Honors: I put on my sheet that i was in the All-State Orchestra, I got the President's Community Service Award (silver level), dean's list (all 3 semesters), All-State band, etc
Other: I had 4 really really good letters of recommendation, i turned in a cd recording of me playing my oboe, i turned in two drawings from my portfolio (ones that i used from my AP Art portfolio which i got a 5 on), mid-term report is a 4.0...i dunno what else to write here... </p>
<p>All i've really got going for me are my recs and my supplemental materials...oh well, maybe for grad school :-(</p>

<p>Apparently a batch of decisions has already been mailed.</p>
<p>Layla, why do you think that? A friend of mine called and the receptionist said decisions will be released on a rolling basis, and that they had already started. But, that is most likely their way to sticking to their word since no one here has found out yet and told people before that the earliest decisions would be out on the 11th. I think it would be weird to be the nice man who answers the phone and each day be told to tell callers something different.</p>
