2006 Fall Semester OFFICIAL UPENN transfer Applicant Thread!!!

I don't think bball meant any harm...

bball that comment was unnecessary
*they just got rejected. You don't have to rub it on them

forgiven, I live about 35 min driving distance from Penn. No letter yet, but I'm hoping just to get this over with. This is ridiculous.

luckycharms44, that's so cute that your essay warranted a little note in the letter. Nice job :) Enjoy NYU!!

in NJ, nothing today (mail's arrived tho)
nothing online :/

layla, you're from drexel right? goood luckkk. i have a couple of friends there, and when i visit, it's quite depressing since it's RIGHT next to penn, haha.

Yeah, I'm from Drexel. I just want a letter one way or another so I can make an official decision. This is driiving me nuts.

i meant no harm by comment, i was jus pting out that thse 2 rejections are no indication of other ppl's rejections b/c their STATS were NOT STELLAR

i am sorry if i am coming across as blunt, but a below average hs record and a 1250 SAT, and a gpa from a very modest school is not equal to a VERY strong candiate

and i myself, am not golden either, i consider myself "strong", simple as that

good luck to everyone

bball,
sometimes i WONDER what makes you DECIDE where to use CAPITAL letters and when not to.

its emphasis, i don't know how to do "bold" face

Uhg, I want a decision. This is taking forever! Did anyone check the online decision system?

bball87, please terminate your offensive comments! Please be considerate. I mean, how would you feel when you are rejected and recieved some rude comments :(

w.e....i don't think i was offensive in any way...plz go ahead

criticize all u want, i got REJECTED BY BROWN....plz....tell me i am unworthy

also, criticze me for gettin waitlisted by Columbia and Duke

as u can see, not gettin into any of these schools does not qualify as a failure...

bball87 is just being acerbic, which is not a bad quality at all. Sure, the attitude may seem less tactful, but it leads to less complications:)

bball87, please do not have the view of feeling yourself unworthy. I just feel depressed for the candidates that were rejected. Exactly, you did not did anything inappropriate, but please be considerate. I bet everyone that get rejected may feel the same way you are. Depressed, Hopeless, Frustrated, Annoyed. Bball87, my comment wasn't intended to critize you. I can understand how you feel, because I feel I will be rejected by Penn! :) :(

I apologies if my comment was misleading.

guys... this is what I think...
I think the guy who picks up the phone at Penn's Admissions
is a LIAR (keeps saying it's rollin rollin rollin), and the computer guy (who's supposed to post on-line decisions ASAP) is just too lazy and malfunctioning...!

why don't we phone on Monday to find out our status???
hopefully he won't say "it's rollin rollin rollin" again....
that's too much Limp Bizkit!!

cuz many more decisions must have been made by last Friday...
they must know whether we got accepted, rejected, or still being evaluated~~~!!!

I tried that a couple of times...it didn't work. They just said that they didn't release that type of data.

can someone not call the main office, instead call one of these admissions officers:

it is sunday, it isn't open on sunday. it looks like they put the letters in the mail friday and people close by already got them on saturday so they should arrive on monday. also, i think if you call one of the transfer directors or assistants, you get the same guy as if they connect you to the transfer office. i dont think he will connect you to an officer either, he is the ultimate guard dog.
