count me in for a no decision too.

Interestingly, the online letter thing was dated the 11th and I just got a real letter today and that was dated the 19th (postmarked 19th too).

If they had it read the 11th why not just reject me then?

Oh well.

yeah, seriously. my online decision was dated the 11th also. i would've preferred receiving my rejection as early as possible.

I have yet to recieve a decision

It's 5 PM bball, I like to believe that we have survived this Massacre. I am not sure though. Keep hoping.

No decision for me either.

matm, i dont think we survived anything, just a rejection postponal

hey guys...i've been following this tread for a while but haven't really posted...i have no decision online either. but i'm wondering, is the third wave of notifications really like a wait-list type thing? because in that case, maybe i could send in add'l info that could help sway my decision..

They would not save an entire batch for a waiting list. That is inefficient. That is just my opinion.

jacknjill, what state do you live in?

hey!!
did anyone who got accepted receive their admissions packet? I got accepted on May 11 and havent received anything.. I am getting worried that I might not be able to send my SIR and deposit within 3 weeks....

Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Penn so far proved that it is the epitome of inefficiency. Sounds like something they would do.

matm1 , I live in NYC.

I think this is a reasonable, albeit slightly cold strategic process. First patch woul definitely make sense to be the obvious people, which would certainly be more acceptances than rejections (most transfer people know if they are reasonable candidates). then second group is probably mostly rejections (assuming they get a reasonable amount of acceptances in first group); finally, 3rd group is going to be mostly rejections, since they already took the most qualified people in the first group. 3rd group is just based on how many people who were accepted turn them down. Just a guess

i hope ur terribly wrong, but hey, i know as much as everyone else...this makes no sense

**** this im just sending my deposit to cornell

pepsicokevodka- i was accepted and in the letter that came w my admission packet, it states that you have until 3 three weeks after receiving the packet to reply and send in the $200. Also, if you haven't received your transfer credit info within those three weeks, you can wait another week after receiving that stuff.

Is this how it went down last year?

that would correlate with my theory

What is the evidence for the "third batch waitlist theory"
