idk guys, F UPENN>>>>I AM SO CONFUSED RIGHT NOW

yeah i got the thick envelope in the mail. i saw upenn and thought "yeah w/e, i knew i was getting rejected." i was pleasantly surprised. also in at uchicago, waitlisted @ dartmouth.

now the hard part... decisions decisions. gl to everyone who hasn't heard yet!!

who cares about evidence, its a message board. if you come here for facts, then you need to seriously rethink your approach anyways

and who ru responding to, w. evidence?

who you talking to me?

idk man...its late...tired...****ed....this penn tihng is really bothering me, since cornell finished, i got nothing to do...but painfully wait everyday, and penn just wants to keep me waiting, idk what i did to them...i never called them penn state, never said they were arrogrant, i never said their admissions office needed some secretaries....

If someone provides evidence of the "three batch theory" then its true. I want evidence that the third batch is a "virtual waitlist"

well, one thing is that the first batch and third batch are exactly three weeks apart which is the amount of time one has to give them a response. so by this last batch they will know who has accepted and declined their offer of admission. this way they will know about how many more people they can let in.

flew home across the country today; thinking the entire time that I would be coming home to the mail and most likely my Penn decision- nothing in the mail or online. I, too, find myself in a resulting predicament; I have until the end of this month to accept a 26,000/yr. merit based scholarship from WUSTL and was delaying a visit to Georgetown until I heard from Penn, where I have already visited this past Winter. The most sad part of it all is that I am still even thinking about Penn, where I did not apply for financial aid, after all of this.

frosty, your stats?

very good observation.

its been posted on here quite a few times already, but so many pages!

yah mat i said that read a bit more

haha, you guys just refresh this page as your browsing other sites? because i know i do.

I am planning to call admissions tomorrow, I feel that at this point I should be given the courtesey to speak with an admission officer who can offer some factual information and I will hopefully get some information I can share. Also, although I would like a decision, I am not overly discouraged for those who did not get a decision today. I am actually slightly encouraged, for sanity's sach I suggest you call it the "final round" instead of the "last batch".

yeah, i am encouraged also, i feel like i am at least not being outright rejected. like i still have a chance. hah, this may just be overactive optimism though.
