Kevin,

The link for admitted student events is:

As for financial aid, I got a combination of grants and loans. My EFC was higher than I expected but I ended up getting a full ride somewhere else so I went there instead even though it was my last choice school. I really regret that decision now and I definetly want to go to USC.

My H.S stats were ok but my SAT was kinda low.
GPA: 4.0
Rank: 1/367
SAT: 1310 (old SAT)

EC's: I was president of one club and played varsity water polo. I was also in drama club for 4 yrs and in senior year i was the features editor for our school paper and had one of my articles published in a statewide newspaper.
Awards: I won several writing competions for journalism and creative writing. I also did a science project for 3 years and made it to the Internatiol Science Fair 3 times (i placed 3rd my junior year and 2nd in my senior year. i also got a first place government award from the Coast Guard)

College:
GPA: 3.66 first semester (i know...kinda low...)
Courses (first semester)
Honors English: A
Astronomy: A-
French (200 level... i never even took it in high school... i took spanish and somehow passed the placement test we had to take... lol): B+
Japanese: A
World Religion: B
Screenwriting (300 level course): A

Second Semester:
English Literature (200 level)
Japanese
Acting (writing intensive course)
Astronomy Lab
Creative Writing (300 level)
Advanced Screenwriting (400 level)

I dont know my grades yet but I should be getting A's except for maybe Japanese whice i might be getting a B in.

I haven't done many EC's in college yet. I know I'm transferring somewhere so I didnt really want to join to many clubs and have to leave. I have been volunteering for the university literary journal and I'm the only freshman doing that.

I'd like to go into docuentary filmmaking (and I really want to write more creative screenplays too!) so I applied to the Broadcast Journalism program (it said they do documentary projects on their site) but I'm thinking if I get in I'll try to transfer to film (I know its tough and I would have applied to it this year but their deadline was back in december...). I really really want to know if i get in to usc. It was my dream school forever and I wish I hadn't turned it down for money... It was always a bit of a reach because of my SAT score and so when I got in it was like the best day of my life. I'm going for sure if I get in this year, even if I don't get in my major. Congrats Kevin on getting in! That is so awesome! I just hope I hear soon... it's so stressful waiting...

Wow... you have a very nice stats... 4.0 perfect GPA in high school plus #1 out of 367 students; no wonder USC accepted you but unfortunately you turned them down.

Oh, about your question of logging into the exploring USC site, I can not log in; I think only admitted freshmen can.

However, you still hold a great chance of getting in because from what you mentioned earlier, you should be in Sophomore standing so your high school stats will help a lot on that; also 3.66 GPA in college is very fine GPA (may be your expectation is much higher like a perfect 4.0 GPA) but with your impressive awards, USC will admit you once more time...

You have talents and great interest in your major plus strong academic preparation and fine GPA--I bet USC will admit you with those strong reasons.

Finally, please let me know if you get in.

gpa: 3.3 ( :( )

hahaha thanks!! i don't think i need to tell the admissions office anything for you... i've seen your stats and i'm pretty damn confident when i say i think you'll get into nyu

GPA: 3.77/3.8
Major: Econ, Business econ for UCLA

Pending: UCLA, UCB, USC

Major: History/Environmental Science
GPA: 3.9 (at a CC)

Accepted: Wellesley, Whitman

Really strange high school and CC record. I liked my essays, though, and I got a good recommendation from a history professor. I used to be an international-level ice skater and so I took very few units/graduated early from HS and all sorts of other abnormalities :).
