Can I summit the form I downloaded from collegeboard.com instead of the form Johns Hopkins gave me in its booklet?

If you are an international applicant to Johns Hopkins, then you must complete the 2007-2008 International Student Certification of Finances form. The form included with the Johns Hopkins application, is actually the same form as on College Board. Here is a direct link to the form:

This form must be postmarked by the application deadline of January 1, 2007 and you need to send it to Johns Hopkins, not the College Board.

I know this question is more directed towards the office that deals with financial aid ect, than to admissions, but I am currently having a huge amount of difficulty getting a bank signature on the form. I have had to have one filled out for another college, and it took over a month, and much correspondance to recieve written confirmation from the building society regarding the funds.

Due to the holiday season (when the whole world ceases to get anythng done) there is no chance of me getting this form sucessfully signed by January 1st - I have been trying unsucessfully for a number of weeks now.

Of how much importance is it if the form is delayed somewhat, due to the lack of bank signature. Should I send it in ASAP, but just leave off the bank confirmation, and send this at a later date?

I know this may seem like a fairly easy problem to solve (just walk into bank and ask manager to sign) but the funds are located in an account where there is no branch, and it is a slightly unusual request here in the UK.

Thanks, Louise

My suggestion is that you send a copy of the form with as much information as you can complete prior to the Jan. 1 postmark deadline. Include a letter of explanation regarding the bank confirmation and that you will send a completed form ASAP. Then just get the form completed quickly and send as an update.

Many thanks, shall do that.

Thanks alot
