2007 College Admit Stats

does anyone know where one can find statistics for the admit rates for the class of 2007/2011? could be either an informal or formal site; i’m just curious to see stats for my class before committing to a school on may 1st. thanks!20

Why does the admit rate have anything to do with where you choose to go. That's a horrible way to decide on a college. Anyway, the CAS admit rate should be pretty close to Penn's overall admit rate, so ~15% plus or minus a few percentage points.

thanks venkat. i didn't say/mean that the admit rate was my method of choosing a college; i said i was just curious. is there a compilation of recent admit stats somewhere? I can't seem to find one.. thanks!

Stats for the Ivies plus Stanford and MIT can be found at these sites:

http://www.hernandezcollegeconsulting.com/resources/early2007statistics.html

http://ivysuccess.com/admission_stats_2011.html

Some other schools' stats can be found among the threads on the a u t o a d m i t site (skim through the tread titles). Just watch out for the massive quantities of invective thrown around on that site.

^If you scroll down the page at that first (Hernandez) site, you'll also find stats for some other schools.

I'm shocked at Cornell's acceptance rate; it fell five percent from last year, and the early decision acceptance rate fell about eight or nine percent from last year. Now, I'm worried because that is where I want to go.

^According to the stats on the Hernandez site, Cornell's total acceptance rate fell about 4% from last year, and ED fell about 2.5%.
