Does anyone know when the results are available from the PSAT that students took in October, 2007?

The schools receive them in December; some schools give the results out to their students in December and some hang onto them until January when the students return from the winter holiday break.

Someone told me that we can look online (as with SAT scores) instead of waiting to receive a hard copy. Is this incorrect?

Nope, there is no online access to PSAT scores. You'll have to wait until your school gives them out. Hopefully yours is not one of those schools that holds onto them for a while before distributing them.

To clarify (at least this was S's experience--seems still to be the protocol and sorry I'm misstating), there is online access to your PSAT scores after you have been handed your actual PSAT score packet, which contains the access number, at which point you can access your test results--every last detail!--online. Of course, the paper packet has lots of info about your score as well. My S got his in December of last year.

Thanks. This is all very helpful. I will stop obsessing and just wait until December.

I am wondering about that Dec. statement. Last year my D got the scores from her school the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The school got them the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, and tacked on a form letter and mailed them out to the students. Did anyone else get them as early as Nov.? COuld I be getting senile? :)

we got ours mid december

mid or late december for my school

mimzy, what state do you live in? My son didn't get his until mid December last year.

The College Board publicly states that PSAT score reports are sent to schools in early December. That doesn't mean, however, that they couldn't be sent earlier. There is already a thread in the Parents' Cafe regarding college emails generated from PSAT lists.

It is still up to each high school to determine when they will distribute the reports. Unfortunately, the schools around here do it in January since December is extremely busy and a "crunch" time for counselors.

Last year's experience, reported here on CC, was receiving the mail in the first week of December.

Yesterday, the Director of College Counselling at the private high school my S attends (in Missouri) told me he expects to receive the scores on 12/12 or 12/13, and will send them home within a day or two.

We live in FL, and I will log in and let you know when we get my son's this year. But I am sure we got my D's before the middle of Dec!

my Ds school gave them out after Christmas...it is annoying

Last year one of my daughters got hers on 12/14 and the other got hers on 12/18. In previous years we've gotten them as early as 12/5. Since the girls are homeschooled we didn't have to wait for the school administration to hand them out; they were sent directly to our home.

That was my situation the previous year my son took the PSAT. The earlier arrivals self-reported last year on CC seemed mostly to be homeschooling families who got the scores by direct postal mail. I'm expecting to see them the first week of December.

My scores just arrived. I took the test about a month ago. I am very surprised (happy) that they came so early.

233 for me

Marshcat, first off, congratulations - that's a terrific index #. Second, what state is your high school in, or are you homeschooled?

I go to Loomis Chaffee in Windsor, CT.

It's a boarding school. (I am a day student)

My friends recieved

223
235
236

Everyone got their scores. I was really surprised. I can't even access the online program yet.
