219!
71/75/73
Does that make the semifinalist in GA?
I’m not sure if it’s 214 or not.

223
80-math
75-critical reading
68 ??? -writing
I am pretty sure i make nmsf for oregon
I am content with my scores. I feel like i could have done better, but 223 is not bad.

the school where I TEACH IS GIVING THE PSAT SCORES TO SOPH AND JUNIORS ON MONDAY..AND FRESHMEN ON THURS

181

61-Math
60-CR
60-Writing

CR was where I had expected, but I thought I would do better in Math + Writing

I have a question. A lot of people seem to feel that the semifinalist cut-offs are going to go up a few points this year, but people are also saying that the curve was very tough, so wouldnt that make the cut-offs go down?

The national score index actually went down 1 point.

my friend got a 205 and she thinks that she might get commended, but she did not fill in the bubbles darkly enough for her name, so only like half of her name can be read. does she need to correct this for commendation,or no? will her high school know that she was commended, and what will the letter read?

CR 71 98%
M 69 95%
W 76 99%

216 99%

Despite the 99%, I’m a little disappointed with the Math score.

I also like how one wrong answer plummets my Writing score 40 points

215-hopeful semifinalist in wisconsin

CR -4 –> 71
M -1 –> 76
W -3 –> 68 :(

Well, I’m a sophomore, but here’s mine. Just got in the mail:

CR - 62 (only up 3 from last year)
Math - 67 (only up 2..)
Writing - 69 (I only missed 3 questions, ***??)

Selection - 198

Needless to say, I’m pretty ****ed off about this. After taking the test I could have sworn I scored at least 205-210.

^ dont worry, you would have gotten a 205-210 if the writing curve this year wasnt the curve of ultimate death…-1 question = -4 or -5 points, normallly its just 2 or 3. Blegh. I would have gotten semifinalist if ONLY the writing curve was like what it normally was…missed it by 2 points >_<

201

counselor said i made the “commended” but not nmsf

CR: 63
M: 71
WS: 67

did better than I thought on math, not as well as I would have liked to on writing

dude…UGH! the writing curve was insane shudder
CR: 48/48 (80)
math: 38/38 (80)
writing: 37/38 (75!!!)
total: 235

up 27 from last year, lol. last year i got a 208

what’s the cutoff for nj, jw?

235 is amazing!
Congrats you should definitely get semi-finalist–I wouldn’t worry about it.

pistonsfan39: 201 is great with this tough of a curve–and commended is really good.!

I’m super worried about the HARSH curve
I’m hoping I’ll atleast get commended–semi-finalist would be SOOOO nice!

I’m hoping that Quickstart will open on the 10th so we can get our scores.

Sophomore, No prep at all, not even a practice test but plan to study next year

Score - 216, Writing was the worst

I’m a junior, and got a 211 on the practice psat, so I was rather happy to see my score jump up to a 222 on the real thing (even though I could have sworn I did worse)

math: 80 (-0)
writing: 76 (-1)
CR: 66 (-8) << ugh, I hate that section

Well I’m in Nebraska, which has a rather low cutoff score (210 last year, I believe), so I’m actually pretty confident that I’ll get nmsf :)

69 - cr (what a *****)
72- writing
73 - math (it says i left one blank when i swear i answered all of them)

eh i didn’t prep for it, so im fine with my scores. i guess i need to read more though.

Will these scores go on line for all today or just those schools that want to release them? I’ve tried the instructions posted here in the forum several times, including this a.m. (12/10/07 6:40 am) and still nothing but 2006 results listed. Our GC says that they will not have them until January…I’m sure that is that they don’t want to deal with them until then. My son already has a QuickStart account so I was hoping it would be updated today, and I know others have seen it but 2007 scores are not showing on his.

Just checked the quickstart page today. The Dec 10 message no longer appears. Am betting you can only access online after getting test results from counselor or in mail if homeschooled, using the access code on the score report.

Will have to remind counselor again this week that she said scores would be handed out on Dec 14.

Why was the CB site saying the scores will be availabe the week of 12/10 if they were waiting on the counselors?
