2007 PSAT Scores

Anyone care to share the approximate curves?

Not great, but about what I excepted. One of the highest in my school though.

Well my 208 was in the 98th percentile which seemed very high so maybe the majority didn't do as well this year and the cutoffs will lower. Then again I'm not too familiar with the process so I wouldn't know.

I guess more specifically curves in each section, only if you want to share your individual section scores + how many questions you missed. So hopefully CR had a curve of -1 (for still 80) and W had some type of curve...

i didn't answer one in CR and got the rest correct, and ended up with a 79.

OMG...rrrggg

Why does CR take off 10 and Math take off 40?

So completely unfair.

Is the curve like this on the SAT?

The math has an anticurve!

Yeah It'd be nice if you guys could post number correct in each section along with the scores so we can approximate a curve for the test. Also possibly the state and percentile.

i can't believe people are already getting back scores! are those who have received their scores all home-schooled?

Homeschooler here, and no scores : (

Nope :P

800 students at my school.

80 CR 99%
73 Math 98%
80 Writing 99%

99% overall

2 math wrong
0 CR wrong
0 witing wrong

Northeast boarding school in Connecticut

That is a really steeeep math curve! Thanks, though you're no help with the CR and W curves LOL.

haha vicariousparent.
i think its more beneficial for some imperfect scores...not people like you marshcat :P nevertheless, congrats on your score!

Can the people posting their scores also say which date they took it on, it will be really helpful since different forms have different curves. THANKS

well, i got my scores back today, which is way earlier than i thought i would, but im pretty happy with them.

i got a 200, which was one of the best in my class...

75 on math (missing one student produced response)
66 in writing (35/39 correct)
59 in Critical Reading (36/48; by far my worlst section lol)

hopefully a 200 will be commended

EDIT: took it october 17

I go to a public school and I got back scores today. Took it on Saturday.

Hope I can help with the curves also. One wrong in CR made a 78. Two wrong in Math, a 73. Can't say about writing... :)

My son took PSAT 10/17 in a Florida public school.
Total: 232
Math: 80 (all 38 questions correct)
Critical Reading: 76 (2 wrong out of 48)
Writing: 76 (1 wrong out of 39)
All sections 99 Percentile.

Thanks for sharing this with us sunset31 and congratulations to your son on getting that score( he'll definitely make NMSF). Does your son have the score report? There were some questions in the writing question that confused everyone here:
The last writing question about a bill being passed
The number of Es - no errors

Thanks and welcome to the CC community

^^^^When and how did you get the scores this early? Last year the scores were given out just before Christmas break (also in Florida).

my school just announced the scores were in and we all went to the office and got them. i live in WI.

i took it on wednesday.

CR-37 correct/38 (ommited one)- 79
M- 37 correct/38 (missed a grid-in)- 75
W- 34 correct/39 ( -6 points adding in deduction)-64

Total- 218

funny thing was, W was my highest practice test score. M and CR both jumped like 10 pts apiece from that practice test, but i lost 7 pts from W. :(

If I missed three and left two blank on the math, does anyone know what would be my approximate score?

wow, it's kind of disappointing that the curve's that steep.
