Discuss...!!!

My class already discussed it..knew what I got wrong...stupid lab question...

would u mind putting upt the answers the nsince 48 hours have passed?

sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! who wants to talk about answers now?

i do!!...what did u get?

On 6b I said it was because of steric hinderance. Was I right?

I said H-Bond.

6b) I said that polar bonding (the molecule to the right is polar) is stronger than London dispersion forces (the molecule to the left)

ethanol has dipole dipole but in the dimethyl ether the two methyl groups cancel out the dipole... i explained it more in depth on the exam however i was in robot chem mode then.

On 1A when it asked to write the equilibrium constant expression, I used brackets instead of parenthesis. Do you think it matters that much? Brackets symbolize concentrations instead of pressures, but do you think they'll care that much?

Don't worry Ptranium, The College Board may be cheap, but they are not that mean. I am 95% certain that they would not take points off for that.

stephennnn...i wrote same thing as you for explanation
what was answer for 2d and 2 e about precipitation?
and what was the answer for lab question about hydrate

i said h bonds also. ethanol has h bonds (O and H) while dimethyl doesn't.

Hopefully you're right. I'm just so use to using brackets for writing K that I just used it on the test.

yeh i think either H bonding..or polarity works for that one

You could have also used the pressure notation, P^2co / Pc*Pco2

what was 4 ba also?

i talked about filtration.

and as for the other part i think my mass percent was like 62 or 61.9 or something like that.

stephenn, your mass % seems to be right. Mine was 61.8ish.

how did u do that?
