The new schedule for the eagle this summer has been posted. Looks like its California dreaming for the class of 12'. Good luck to everyone keep working hard. It'll be worth it.

We'll be on for a week. Where we get on and off will depend on what company we are assigned to swab summer. They do one week rotations with the swabs. We won't start boarding until the end of July. The rest of that schedule is for the six week cruise for 3/c and OCS guys.

So the swabs will do a month or so in New London, then get on a plane to LA or San Diego to meet Eagle, sail for a week, then back to New London for the start of the Academic year?

Or will they wait until mid-September, when she returns to New London to begin the swab's Eagle cruises?

No we will fly to wherever the eagle is at and board there. Then when our week is up fly back to New London. The first group on the eagle still has a few weeks left before the academic year starts so they will head back and continue with swab summer until classes start.

Luigi59: To my knowledge no one has been notified of appointment, though as always I could be very wrong.

Cadets are transported via USCG C-130's to wherever they board Eagle. If memory from AIM serves me right, the current second class did a tour of the Caribbean their swab summer, so they flew down to Florida and embarked from there.

Yes, that's what I thought also, as my son is eagerly awaiting a letter from New London as well. Hardball0101 is either an exceptional candidate who has already been appointed, or he is very very optimistic!

That's gonna be one long slow flight to the west coast at 290 knots! ;)

Hahah yeah I am a prepster at NMMI this year. There are about thirty of us here and about fifty in a program. As long we don't @$%& up too bad we are guaranteed an appointment for the class of 12'. I've been on the boards over the last two years so i forget that some of the older threads aren't up with that info. the class of 11' was also in the Caribbean this year I believe. I would love to be out of the US but it beat California beats a cruise up and down the east coast.
